But I don’t usually answer the phone if I don’t know who it is. I have caller ID. I did have some strange people who sounded like they were from the islands asking about the property. I told two of them that I’m going to report them if they keep calling here and how did they get my number, etc.

We have also had a strange repair man calling here for like three years and saying oh I’m calling about the work you needed done and I told him several times that I don’t know who you are and I didn’t ask for any estimates. I asked him for the name of the company and he will never give that. If he calls again, I’m going to report him too.

I advise everybody never to hire anybody that calls you over the phone to do work on your home. Because I did that once when I wasn’t feeling well when one of my cats died and they scammed my father out of thousands of dollars while I was asleep. I woke up to the whole house being torn to shreds etc. I got all of the money back, but it was very stressful and I ended up in the hospital not long after that from stress, etc. I would say about 99% of the contractors, etc. in this area are total crooks.
