More than half the population in Dearborn is Middle Eastern or North African. In Wayne County, which encompasses the inner-ring suburb as well as Detroit, nearly 8% of the population is Arab American the highest percentage in the U.S.
Last November, the majority voted Democrat, except at the top of the ticket. President Trump came to Dearborn looking for votes and it worked. He won the city and took Michigan in a startling reversal for Democrats.

Trump won 42% of the vote in Dearborn, with Harris receiving 36%. Green Party and pro-ceasefire candidate Jill Stein received 18% more than any other place in Michigan, Detroit Public Radio reported.
Abouali says the results show how angry Dearborn was at the Biden-Harris White House, mostly over its support for Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip. The community voted for Trump, despite the president's past action in banning travel from some majority Muslim countries and worries about his proposal to deport millions of immigrants.

Democrats lost 22,000 votes in Michigans heavily Arab American cities
Kamala Harris received at least 22,000 fewer votes than Joe Biden did four years ago in Michigans most heavily Arab American and Muslim cities, a Guardian analysis of raw vote data in the critical swing state finds.
The numbers also show Trump made small gains about 9,000 votes across those areas, suggesting Harriss loss there is more attributable to Arab Americans either not voting or casting ballots for third-party candidates.
Support for Democrats also fell in seven precincts around the country with significant Arab American or Muslim populations, according to data compiled by the Arab American Institute. It found a combined drop in the seven precincts, from about 4,900 votes in 2020 to just 3,400 this election.
The drop in Democratic support in Hamtramck, Dearborn and Dearborn Heights three Michigan cities with the nations largest Arab American and Muslim populations per capita represent nearly 27% of the 81,000-vote difference between Harris and Donald Trumps tallies in the state.

Yes, once they knew that it would be useless to protest under a trump presidency, they stopped.

So they gave up, folded, spineless, complicit, no more speaking truth to power or standing up to power,

Doing nothing was more than those "Protesters" did. Worthless, feckless, spineless anti-American terrorist enablers. n/t

I think people who broke into state buildings and trashed government property should be punished.

Which pro-Israeli lobby are you referring to, and what is anti-American about them? Be specific.

Pro-Israel and pro-Israel govt with Netanyahu in charge are two separate issues.

The last line is a straw man and imho has no context here. You choose to be pro-Israel without a distinction.

The context was of radius777's choosing. The false presumption was evident in that post, and so were its implications.

Israel is in danger of becoming non-democratic. Unless you are specifying that no money should support the genocide,

Funny... no one cared about this when they were shouting down Biden and Harris?

I cared about it. Biden and Harris were our nominees. Other Democrats shouting them down was just counterproductive.
