My point is that it isn't the Supreme Court that granted him power. All they gave him was a get out of jail free card. If the rest of the system was doing its job, it would be annoying that he could not be criminally prosecuted - but merely annoying.

The rest of what is going in is a power grab that the courts are doing their best to stop - but they can't do it alone. His power comes from the legislative branch ceding power both in confirming people they knew would not provide independent checks on Trump - AND - in passing the CR which ceded their power to terminate his "emergency" declarations.
