Bill Maher Confirms He Will Meet With Trump At White House, Tells Critics 'F**k You'

23. ANYBODY who's surprised by this, has their heads up their asses.

Those of us who long-ago recognized Maher as the rightwing sleazeball he truly is, have for years been telling you Democrats who still watch him that contributing to his show's ratings is the last thing we ought to be doing.

And I must take issue with the comment in the initial thread that "The fascists are sneaking in the backdoor." There's no "sneaking" or "backdoor" involved in what's happening, right now: The front door of the trump White House is wide open, and the incoming stream of fascists is happening in broad daylight, in plain view for everybody to see. This is what happens when a political party cedes its power and forgoes the most basic, well-known tactics in fighting a lethally dangerous opposition. And yes, Chuck Schumer, I'm talking to you and the rest of Democratic Party leadership---with the obvious exception of Bernie Sanders, the one guy who seems to be making a serious, effective effort to keep hope alive. I've never been a huge Bernie fan in the past, but I can feel myself becoming one, in a big Goddamned hurry.

I guess that's a sufficient rant for now, other than adding my standard "Fuck Bill Maher" finale. You Maher supporters, enjoy his "sign of respect" visit with the current regime.
