(220 posts)bought my 2007 gas guzzling Jeep, I would have had to replace my mode of transport at least once every couple of years not to mention how often the brakes would need repair. The driveway to my horse farm is on a hillside and longer than a football field, quite steep in places with 2 very deep ravines on the side opposite the house. At the bottom of the hill is a creek that overflows and one has to be high enough off the ground to cross it in a heavy rain.
Getting to some of the flipper houses that I bought and repaired was even worse and I needed the gas guzzling Ford pick-up truck with an 8' bed to go up and down mountains and around horseshoe curves to transport drywall and plywood to the job.
A 6 cylinder engine car can't pull a horse trailer and just thinking of the brakes giving out coming down a mtn. and going around a curve that has a deep ravine makes me quiver.
Not everyone lives the same life style or has the same needs.
I won't disparage you for your choice; if you won't disparage me and M. Kelly, for ours!
