If you do something even slightly outside God's rules, He brings a giant shitstorm down upon your head immediately.

If you follow God's Word to the letter, something nice might happen to you...but you have to die before that happens. Oh, but you can't actually follow his word to the letter but that's okay, if you join our little club God quits giving a shit about what you do.(On edit: Because Dubya Bush believes in God he's going to heaven and you are to ignore the very long trail of bodies he left behind him because to point out Dubya gives Joseph Kony a run for his money wouldn't be Christian.)

My two favorite stories are the Ark of the Covenant and Job. The Ark is somewhat sick: God told his people not to touch the box with the Ten Commandments tablets in it. Then he sent them down the worst road in the Middle East. One guy put his hand on the box to keep it in the wagon, and God whacked him for it. This story teaches us we must follow God's orders no matter what. Remember that next time you're on a mountain road and God tells you to go straight when the road turns left.

The story of Job is truly sick: Job, an honorable man, had his life destroyed by God to prove to the Devil the truly brainwashed will retain their programming.
