Trump claimed that the tariffs were to bring back the good old days of American manufacturing circa 1946-1973. Yet the exclusions would apply to...computers, hard drives and computer processors and memory chips. These are the very items that the Biden administration was trying to bring back to to production in the USA--at least partially--as a matter of national security (which it indeed is).
