Voting is not going to solve the issue we're facing.

Trump is rapidly going full dictator and his transition to dictator is not slowing, its accelerating. I doubt we have the luxury of waiting for the midterms or the certainty that our votes will be even counted fairly if we even have a vote by that time no matter how large the turnout is.

This is how Trump's screwed up mind works.

He dredges up some halfwit idea from the cesspool that is his brain. Repeats it over and over to his sycophantic staff and cabinet. They break every existing law to make it reality to satisfy him.

Just in the last few days he has floated sending Americans to prisons in El Salvador, telling Congress to terminate funds to NPR and PBS, refusing to honor Court judgements, blocked the AP, threatened CBS with loss of broadcast license, etc etc etc.

That insane sociopath brain of his will continue right on escalating the severity of new and even more dangerous ideas until we're living in a full blown dictatorship comparable to Putin's Russia. At the rate his clogged up septic tank of a brain works that will happen long before the midterms.

Even if we're lucky enough to actually be able to vote by the midterms and if we're even more lucky to actually win in those future elections without the vote being tampered with I seriously doubt that the current crop of Democrats will do much of anything to lock these criminals up.

It was obvious back in 2020 where Trump was going and that he would try again in 2024. The Dems did nothing in those 4 years to stop or block him when they had a chance.

I'd love to have a positive outlook on our future but ignoring current events is dangerous because it encourages placidity. It's clear to me that removing him and his followers will require force. If there is a vote in the midterms, of which I doubt, I of course will be voting blue but I don't think that will end this mess even if by some miracle we managed to win. This is a cancer that will have to be cut out of this country by force with all the perpetrators facing accountability for their crimes.
