I am old enough to remember VE Day and VJ Day.

Our Prez seems to believe WWII ended on VE Day.

Oh well! I guess my Dad and everyone else who served in the Pacific Theater are just “losers and suckers.”

I believe the Marines my Dad helped land and later medically evacuated from Iwo Jima and Okinawa would beg to differ.

My Dad was home on 30 days leave prior to returning for the invasion of Japan. He was standing on the local swimming pool’s high diving board when the news came of Japan’s surrender. He belly flopped spectacularly!🤣
