7. GB is celebrating VE Day today as a "Bank Holiday Monday",

with smaller celebrations to follow, including on May 8, the date of VE Day.
The 80th is a major commemoration obviously, so this way street parties, the parade,etc. can be held with a large number of people able to observe/participate if they so desire.
