I didn't vote for President Obama in November, I voted against hate & bigotry. I'm not doing that anymore. I'm going to start voting for something, because voting against something isn't working. I wrote to my senators & rep & let them know - support real democratic policies or lose my support & vote.

I worked in a grocery store for many years & I can attest that $40 a month is a big deal for many of our seniors. DU is littered with heartless comments like "It's only $40 a month!" When your income is already too little, $X a month is a huge, huge deal.
