21. I have noticed the same, but mostly among younger folks.

Trump is MY vintage and when I was in school, the subjects you mention were required for graduation. His lack of knowledge in all of them, notably CIVICS is based on something other than the education system at the time. My guess is genetics, laziness and total lack of curiosity and interest.
