I am actually surprised that Booker voted for him because he was not just found guilty of fraud but was disgusting. He had already completed his prison sentence before Trump pardoned him.

I think he is a terrible person to represent the US anywhere, but Paris is a post almost always given to a close friend or big donor. I doubt any replacement if the nomination was defeated would be better.
