30. Hoyer faced three primary challengers in 2024 -- he crushed them

He got over 70 percent of the vote, none of the three challengers, all much younger than Hoyer -- got more than 10.3 percent. It's not a "lifetime appointment" if the voters prefer you to the folks challenging you.
