But if these kids want to return as adults, they may have problems proving they are American citizens. People are just being snatched and put in jail. No time to pack, get the documents they need etc. If they are not able to gather their child's birth certificate before they are deported or they lose it after they are deported, might be hard to prove they are citizens if they want to return.

You are right, very little reporting is being done on this subject matter. I was just thinking about disabled adult children as well. One of my clients has has an adult son with severe cerebral palsy. He is wheelchair bound and nonverbal. Who would care for an adult in his position?
The cruelty is just unfathomable.
