4. Heather Cox Richardson has a lesson

She is today's guest on the podcast "We Can Do Hard Things" (hosted by Glenon Doyle, Abby Wambach), although heaven forfend I could find a direct link independent of a particular podcast platform.

Anyway - she goes into how the concepts of democracy, socialism, and communism got swapped around - not just these last few years, but following the Civil War. I learned more from this hour than I have from anything else I can think of recently.
