(verses 31-46) that Jesus's teachings there have made it hard to overcome the lies and heresies of Christian Nationalists and others on the Christian Right. Their voices are loud and they seek the limelight, using shocking claims about who Jesus is/was.

Several scriptures say we should be humble, not proud or boasting, and we shouldn't pray in public for attention but do our praying in secret.

We are not good at seeking attention for ourselves. Makes it hard to counter the many ways they defame Christ.
