3. Having corrupted the media is hardly admirable.

It's not like they're good at lying. They're incredibly bad at it, their lies are usually obvious and easily disproved.

They're not clever, they're not smart, they're not playing 8-dimensional chess.

They've bought a ton of media outlets, they've bullied others, sued and threatened more, got reporters fired, replaced editorial boards, cut off access based on coverage not being biased enough, etc.

So it takes no genius to change the topic or distract or anything, because that's what the media is now set up to do.

It's like praising someone for pitching a perfect game after bribing the ump to call everything a strike.
