They both flattered him to play to his ego and his idiot followers. They just needed him to dither long enough to get what they wanted.

In Bibi's case, he want to annex Gaza and the West Bank. Bibi wants to eliminate the possibility of a Palestinian state. Oct 7 was a godsend for him. It was the perfect opportunity for him. Trump will probably let him do it. He might ruffle Trump's feathers, but yhe'll smooth them the next time they talk, and he puffs up his ego.

In Putin's case, I think Putin thinks he just needs Trump to to dither, which he is doing. Putin had hoped that his summer offensive would finally break through in Ukraine. It looked like it might, but in the last week or so, the Ukrainians blunted and even pushed back the Russian offensive in Sumy. The question is will Putin keep stringing Trump along and will Trump fall for it. Trump doesn't want o be wrong about his good friend Vladimir, so I think Trump will be lead around by the nose.... AGAIN.
