Just like after Reconstruction when white southerners gave poor whites the right to terrorize blacks with impunity, today's powerful white men are using the republican party's cultural issues to distract white voters from the redistribution of wealth. While the vast majority of magas support Democratic priorities, they have been brainwashed into ignoring policy in lieu of simply hating libs. They're all in when their leader blames everything on DEI (Blacks).

And then there are the uninformed voters who simply err on the side of those who have traditionally been most powerful come election time. The most powerful have always been white men who fight to preserve white male privilege. You could call it the Alpha Fascination Effect.

Long before "maga," I've been saying that conservatism has nothing to do with policy and everything to do with emotion and psychology. republicans have it much easier in the electoral game in spite of the fact no one wants lower wages, medical bankruptcy, and deadly weather patterns.
