Who voted for Trump though?
That guy didn’t strike me as any kind of progressive..he struck me as a homophobic male supremacy type. I mean maybe he voted democratic once or so opportunistically. But he seemed like a proper Trumper and he was the only high profile Muslim I saw back Trump.

Immigration is always a complicated issue to use as a yardstick for being left. As societies become more demographically diverse it becomes easier to sort out opportunistic or orherwise single issue voters from people with more broadly left/liberal sympathies on all issues.

Progressive Muslims (especially with ties to Palestine) struck me as (understandably) conflicted and hurt rather than Trump supporting. And it can’t be easy to think straight with this war decimating that region.

And left/liberal Jewish people are getting PTSD because of this war. Actual anti-semites must be pleased at this war-profiteer driven divide and rule strategy’s success. It’s just going to be painful to see it go down.

Neutral parties who are bullish on this war or on justifying its further continuation are honestly unlikely to be friends of the Jewish community. Not a topic I usually pile on to.
