9. You don't understand "gerrymandering"

It goes on with both sides and is just the way it is. It also makes the districts so hardline one way or the other, that the phrase "safe seat" doesn't do it justice.

Most people do not realize the precise science that goes into re-drawing congressional lines. Arguments will literally come down to sides of a street. That's how close the computer models create districts. Once the seat lines are drawn, it is nigh impossible for the other side to win that district.

Can you imagine the Republicans ever winning AOC's seat? That's how "safe" the districts become to either party...Impossible to win. The problem is that the Republicans have more population in states like Texas to shuffle around, thus creating more safe seats for them.
