(17,582 posts)18. Eating out has gotten absurd in my area.
I've pretty much given up on doing it. We went to a local barbecue place that some friends recommended. There were two of us. It's one where you order at the counter, then get your own drinks, sit down with a number they give you and they bring the food to you.
A one meat plate with two sides, a turkey sandwich with one side and two drinks was over $60. It was good, but not THAT good. So we won't be going back.

Buy olive oil from California. It's just as good as the imported stuff, maybe better.
