(3,961 posts)55. For my wife's 79th, we went to a higher end
restaurant and splurged on lobster stuffed shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, and a high end burger with bacon where they substituted a wonderful rigatoni in lieu of french fries.
We split it all. I had a $12.00 Sauvignon Blanc, Kendall Jackson. We had enough burger and pasta for two more meals. The burger was $20 with pasta. $84 plus a $25 tip for delightful service. 84÷12=7. Nice restaurant experience.
Tonight, I am making a Blanquette de poulet as veau is too pricey. Boneless chicken wings on sale at $2.69/lb. 2.5 lbs. Six, maybe eight meals.
We split when we go out and beat restaurant fare quite often in our own kitchen. We live Nora Ephron's philosophy that if you are not thinking about your next meal, you are not living.

The posts here suggest the prices charged by Five Guys are not significantly higher than they were a year ago.

Where is this wonderful place where you find food that isn't more expensive to cook under Trump?
