Silver Bulletin approval ratings for President Trump -- and all presidents since Truman. [View all]

Nate Silver and Eli McKown-Dawson

Updated August 10, 2025
Donald Trump’s approval rating has been holding relatively steady since the end of July. After hitting a second term low of -10.3 on the 22nd, Trump’s net approval rebounded to -8.0 by the 25th. Where is Trump’s net approval rating as of today? -8.9.

So Trump’s approval numbers aren’t good, but they also haven’t been getting much worse. For example, here are his net approval ratings in the three latest YouGov/The Economist polls: -14, -15, -14. And it’s not just YouGov. Let’s use Fox News as another example. They show Trump moving from -8 net approval on June 16th to a shocking -8 net approval on July 21st.

What about on the issues? Here’s how Trump’s net approval rating on the four issues we track has changed between July 25th and today:

Immigration: -4.2 —> -4.2

The economy: -12.3 —> -12.6

Inflation: - 23.8 —> -25.8

Trade: -16.6 —> -17.1
