(40,990 posts)Here in California I think Governor Newsom is doing a pretty good job representing me, same with Alex Padilla. Adam Schiff is too close to the political center for my taste. Overall, the political "center" of the U.S.A. has always stunk of authoritarianism, racism, and misogyny.
My local reps are mostly cool, excepting a few evangelical Christians and right wing Catholics who greatly annoy me with their anti-intellectualism.
Which member of the Democratic Party do you find most annoying and ineffective, is "anybody home," as you say?
Maybe you could start working on them rather than disparaging the entire party.
Like it or not, the U.S. Constitution makes a two party system inevitable. We can support the Democratic Party, or we can slide further backwards. Yeah, that can be frustrating at times.
I'm a radical environmentalist and some kind of socialist. I get extremely frustrated with politics sometimes but practically speaking the Democratic Party is the only game in town. Republicans and third party candidates only impede progress.
