(3,999 posts)85. I'm one of hundreds of thousands of blue voters in red states.
I agree that experiencing natural consequences is important, although we will be harmed greatly ourselves as will people we love.
I'm actually thinking of the idea that the blue states form their own compact and have their own social security system. But where does that leave us as we start a brand-new social security system that hasn't had time to build financial resources to back it? (In the back of my mind, I realize we may want to escape to one of the blue states one day ourselves.)
