19. There will be elections, as there are in Russia

The outcome, of course, is predetermined.

My hope is not zero yet, but how many Americans will actually risk their financial health and their very lives to do whatever it takes to topple this fascist regime? In addition to that, a massive uprising with violence could severely damage an economy already weakened by tariffs, deportations, preventable contagious disease, and the placement of unqualified sycophants in government agencies including the Federal Reserve.

Perhaps we're overstating the threat we're facing, but I don't think so. Corporations and major shareholders will also be hurt as the economy tanks, but they can weather the storm. The rich have been wanting to dismantle the regulatory & welfare state ever since FDR, and Project 2025 is giving it to them. Whether we call it fascism or oligarchy, POWER is the first priority.
