He only was on the ticket because nobody else would take it, knowing it was doomed. Before Walz was selected there was a lot of talk about Shapiro in the Veepstakes. No way Shapiro was going to get on that sinking ship.
I know it's unpopular to say here, but Harris' campaign was doomed from go, and anybody with political sense knew it.
