DNC needs to address the problem, find a better solution, or they will find people unwilling to donate and then get deluged with junk mail and texts.
On a practical note: UNSUBSCRIBE helps. I use Thunderbird as my email program as it allows for creation of many filters. Not sure if Outlook does that as I never liked it and won't use. When unwanted emails keep coming, I set up filters that will toss 'em in the trash before I even see them in my inbox. It is helpful against marketing emails and requests for donations from groups I do not wish to engage with.
Edited to add: I also set filters to tag certain email senders, color code some topics, and even "Copy To" for email from people I do want to stay in touch with. I have files for 'political pals', 'friends & family', Medical/Health Insurance/ Medicare, one for Social Security, and some files for specific vendors I do want to hear from. Those folders save stuff I want and allow me to find them.
In my old age, I find filters for emails are very helpful. And filters to toss the crap are REALLY helpful.
