23. You/We are not alone.

The ones that really aggravate are the emails with surveys embedded; you answer the questions, and the last one is about how much you can donate, no option to participate in the "survey" without donating. Nope, not gonna play.

I already feel bad that I can't normally donate, my monthly budget just doesn't stretch. On the rare occasion that I can contribute, I send that donation to our local Democratic party office; helps a little to pay the rent and the phone bill, buy postage stamps, and just keep the door open. Back when I could volunteer in that office, it was always invigorating when someone would walk in to ask questions about issues or candidates (especially when they'd leave with a yard sign or two). Keep our doors open, I say.
