In reply to the discussion: Question: Why would a professional contractor throw trash out an upper-level [View all]LeftInTX
(35,083 posts)47. The WH itself (not Trump) said it was a maintenance crew. The odds are, the workers who did this were fired.
Apparently, it occurred at a bathroom that was being remodeled.
Why? They were being lazy and didn't want to go up and down the steps. Especially if they were going to make multiple trips. By throwing stuff down on the ground, it would all be in one spot. It could have been more than trash. It could have also been supplies, such as drop clothes, paint brushes, small tools etc.
Contractors do this alot. But at the WH? No bueno!

OP
Some contractors use a trash chute to move waste materials out of buildings but this doesn't pass ...

It would have hit flower beds and shrubs, so I don't think anyone would do that.

Carry the trash down two floors filled with security or toss it out the window?

My hunch is they didn't want to go up and down the stairs/elevator numerous times.

Some intrepid reporter should be contacting the White House contractors to find out who did it, and why
