In reply to the discussion: Interesting speculation: Loomer labelled Kirk a traitor over his criticism of Trump on Epstein [View all]Feel Good Inc
(66 posts)1. Kirk has close connections with Trump and his administration. He was probably in contact with those there - or someone in his stratosphere was as well. Think of that episode of West Wing where Leo dies - and how quickly it gets back to Bartlet. The reality is that Kirk likely was dead instantly, or close to it. Trump was probably notified maybe even minutes after it happened and that it did not look good. Plenty of other right-wingers on Twitter also seemed to have connections and were talking about his condition. Also, Trump wasn't the first to break the news. The Utah Speaker of the House broke the news at around 2:00 Utah time saying he was dead. That was 30 or so minutes before Trump announced it. He likely waited until the family was notified - or maybe even talked to the family. But it wasn't that soon - Trump didn't announce it until over an hour or two after the shooting.
He got flags ordered at half-staff because he's the president and literally just saying it likely can force it happening.
2. Could be his security and just random movements that unfortunately happened at the wrong time. When you're free, set up a camera and film yourself. Once you "forget" the camera is on you, you'd be surprised at how fidgety or twitchy you are - whether it's touching your nose, scratching an eye, rubbing your forehead...all things that could look like signals but just random actions you're making without realizing it...especially if you're just standing there doing nothing.
3. Guns can be taken apart rather easily, especially specific rifles. He likely had it concealed in a backpack and then after the shooting maybe hid it under a blanket he also had in his backpack as he got away in the ensuing chaos.
