10. It's really cool that the current crop of late night hosts are so supportive of one another.

They don't see things as a zero sum game, or vis a vis a scarcity model. They each do their thing, trusting that there is enough pie to go around.

Of course, Meyers is not in direct competition with Kimmel and Colbert, being on at a later time slot. Similar thing with Oliver, who airs on Sundays. But it is still very heartwarming.

Anybody remember the mess with Leno, O'Brien and other late night hosting contenders a generation or so ago?

And yes, the late night landscape is still a boys' club, but when you listen to these guys talk, you can tell they are all possessed of genuine emotional intelligence, even if they are attention-seeking doofuses at heart. (That's why most folks get into comedy, after all.)
