27. People often use "tank" as a generic term for any similarly shaped armored vehicle.

It's sort of funny because "tank" was originally a word used to keep the development of these land battleships secret. The metal fabricators who were working on them could say they were building "tanks," as in fuel or water tanks, an answer so mundane it pretty much ended further inquiry.
