(6,170 posts)I wondered aloud today if the elections next week would be conducted without altering the results. "They" don't usually fuck with the off year elections. It is more risky to pull that kind of thing off during off year and special elections.
There is already interference in the form of intimidation and other shenanigans.
But I believe your question was directed at the issue of being able to trust voting machines - now and in the future. ES&S machines have been identified as a problem for years. Here is some of the reporting regarding the integrity of ES&S machines.

I am concerned that Dominion has been sold to a former Republican election official.
I, like many on this forum, question the results of elections going back to at least 2000. How many of the questionable results can be attributed to voting machines may be a whole discussion of its own.
So, I affirm your concern. "We" need to do whatever we can to ensure secure and fair elections. And we need to insist on recounts when necessary.
