There are far, FAR too many people who believe that Adam Lanza "must" have had a mental illness to do what he did - even without a shred of evidence that he was mentally ill or was on meds. Doesn't matter in their mind - it "must" be so because otherwise they'd have to look at the real culprit - easy accessibility to firearms regardless of mental health.

The lumping in of gun violence perpetrators as "mentally ill" is disgusting but too many people don't see how abhorrent that is - so they simply accept the premise on its face and continue to smear and hurt good people.
