I use DU because it is moderated. I have thought about this. Ai wasn’t even needed for YouTube, TikTok and FB to turn into cesspools. My hope though is that Ai destroys those platforms.
There are almost certainly various ill-conceived experiments with data and internet use though, which I disapprove of. That’s part of what’s taking jobs. People working inside and legitimizing these damn Panopticons.
I bet they try to make that pathetic “simulation theory” a real thing. Like that lightweight FB “emotion contagion” rot. How does that shit sell? Thats where the press comes into to be all credulous and sleazy.

Instead of giving people options to just abort drivel, “participatory” or straight up non-consensual fixes. Bollocks to that. Si valley and tech culture broadly are cultish.
As research funding for worthwhile science dries up, more of this MIT Media Lab, Stanford Hai shit proliferating pisses me off.
Oh yeah, let’s do a study on how much agents and LLMs suck instead of stopping “data as oil” 
. That’s partly where humblebrags about a pile of buggy rot are coming from. Wanting to elevate this one shitty field above all others (no doubt in some cases with mental health being exploited to shutout naysayers from having any options at all).
They suck. We know they suck. wtf is there to “study” or discuss.
