Narcissists can't admit they are wrong. It's fundamental to their disorder.

As I understand it, inside they are filled with self-doubt and shame. Their egos are unable to accept that they make mistakes. People with healthy egos can say "I messed up, I'm sorry, I'll do better next time" and move forward with their lives. Narcissists can't do that. The internal shame overwhelms them, so they create a fiction that they're never wrong. They are victims of everybody else's mistakes.

Trump can't admit failure and that makes him an extraordinarily weak person. Weak people with power are very dangerous. I think most dictators fit in this category and history shows the wreckage they leave behind.
