(2,653 posts)At it's most fundamental level his argument amounts to "the more people there are in the USA, the worse it makes it for everyone else".
Which then means that every child born is likewise stealing the American Dream.
By the way, there's absolutely (added on edit: nothing) noble about purposefully triggering the nativist/tribalist impulses that evolution conferred upon our species. It takes no skill, just a nefarious willingness to exploit it for personal gain and unearned power.
I would add that a significant component of Christ's message, as laid out in The Bible, is clearly the opposite of Vance's here. Jesus' message, rather, was that "good" actions were those that were inherently contrary to obeying our most base, animal-like instincts.
