Of the records being released, false claims with no merit may be mixed in with the real victim evidence. The disposition of the filed claims is irrelevant. Anyone calling into the FBI or filing a claim will be in the documents dumps now occurring, whether valid or not.

The public needs to understand that the documents may contain some garbage that won't check out later. It's not a slam against victims; it's a caution against getting too caught up in messy and incomplete data.

Investigators like Julie K. Brown can probably sort through it better than individual citizens in the infosphere can.
