He is aggressively establishing himself as an actor operating *above* the nation-state level.

He's never been a hero, and he's never going to be one.

He simply wants to control the means of communication for everyone, everywhere, with himself determining who gets amplified and who gets muted.

Also, did I mention he's a card-carrying fascist yet? Because yeah, I think that also informs this discussion.
