5. My buddy went by ambulance to North Western in Chicago (big beautiful hospital downtown)

I was in the ER with him while he was all doped up on morphine and then ketamine - the nice lady from billing wheeled her little portable WiFi billing cart in the room and demanded $800 bucks on the spot.

We were both fucking amazed. Fortunately he could pay. But what if he couldn’t…
