A senior White House official suggested that Jonathan Ross, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, could pursue legal action for defamation against individuals who labeled him a murderer online and in public remarks.
I think you may see him take action, Tom Homan, the White House border czar, said on the Will Cain Country podcast, adding that Ross has gone into hiding.

Homan said he expects Ross to wait for this investigation to pan itself out before deciding on any legal steps, noting that social media posts have circulated with Rosss image and wanted for murder language.

OP
Please file that law suit Mr.Ross. Joyce Vance, or Glen Kirschner or Kamala Harris might love that case.

Yeah. His first thought was to hide his computer. People will get at his comments anyway.

I think a grand jury convened by the state/city might wipe the smile off his face....

Except that Trump did sue for that, and ABC settled for $15 million plus $1 million in legal fees

"Homan said he expects Ross to "'wait for this investigation to pan itself out'"?

It's defamation if you say something you KNOW to be false. It isn't if you believe what your saying to be true

Let's just say he sues. That means discovery and depositions. That process will be devastating for him.

He hasn't been charged or convicted with a crime. He has a strong case, but it would increase the backlash against ICE

I was going to make a discovery comment, but I am pleased to see it is well covered.
