I've long suspected that Trump, his family and select cronies are making money in the stock market with these tariffs. The pattern is familiar, Trump threaten tariffs, and other dire consequences, takes it right up to the brink, the markets plunge. A day or few later, he announces a "solution", or "agreement" has been reached, the markets soar. Those on the inside make a nice tidy bundle. Lather, rinse, repeat.

So how much did Trumpco make this time. I suspect the 1.4 billion figure for how much they've made over the past year, as reported by the NY Times, is just the tip of the fraudulent iceberg since we've already seen this scenario play out several times this year.
