Mr. Smith noted while testifying behind closed doors, that both cases can still be brought. We need to elect a Democrat in 2028, of course. And while it is less likely that he would be incarcerated in 2029 than if the cases had gone ahead -- and even if convicted on all 44 very serious felonies before, it wasn't likely. Yet Mr. Smith has stated that incarceration is the just punishment for those crimes. Bur even if not, the felon hates to be disgraced, and hates to be convicted of crimes. These are things that add to his narcissistic collapse.
