Does calling your representative actually do anything?

4. They do get the calls and it matters.

I wondered the same thing when I started calling every single GOP senator. I've done this a lot since 2016 and the reason I continue to call them is because my niece was a staffer at our CA congressman's office in DC for a summer. She said the staffers really do write down the info and they pass it on.

My problem is that I like to get more bang for my efforts so I mainly call the GOP senators and congresscritters to complain. I pretend I am an angry constituent and I even provide a fake address within their district just in case there is doubt. I plan what I want to say and I say it fast before they can ask me too many questions about verifying my identity.
