(59,462 posts)35. This, though, is a chicken and egg problem. Were the antidepressants a factor in the
behavior, or were the antidepressants insufficient to overcome a behavior that was already there? The list of incidents doesn't really show anything, other than that the shooters come from a subset of society that has at some point been identified as having mood problems, and the shooters were given or took medication. That isn't really surprising.
I don't know if there is any way to do a real scientific study on this.
