New Jersey's 2nd congressional district, based in Southern New Jersey, is represented by Republican Jeff Van Drew. He was first elected as a Democrat in 2018, but announced on December 19, 2019, that he would be switching parties. The family name, “Van Drew,” is Dutch. But there’re some additives.
There are German and Swedish forebears, too and according to a recent DNA test a Russian.

“You look at me _ I’m kind of fair and all, blue eyes,” Van Drew said. “I was not surprised to see all the Nordic type of countries show up. I was a little surprised to see the Russian. But not really. Because all these folks mixed. And that’s what’s amazing when you do these DNA tests.”
