I've seen snow forecasts from 3" to 14". It changes more often than daily. I went to the grocery store today for an item that I really didn't need but which was on sale. It was absolutely packed at about 1 pm. I bet it was worse when people got off work.
Not looking forward to all the shoveling that lies ahead. That 3" forecast is old. Nothing close to that little has been posted in a couple of days. And then, once I get the driveway clear, the plow will come and clog it back up again. Oh well. I guess it'll build character or something. 
But I've got food on hand and I am warm. And the forecast is for snow rather than ice. I'll be content with that. Could be worse. I remember many years ago when we got a good 4" or so of ice. They chopped it into blocks and fork trucks stacked them on the corners. That was one for the books {shudder}.
